My new meds, have caused me to stay up for 48 hours straight. I am actually not tired, Over stimulated.
I had my first long manic episode. For people who don't know what it is-"Mania is a phase of bipolar disorder characterized by sustained periods of abnormally elevated mood and other behaviors considered extreme or exaggerated. ... In addition to "classic" bipolar mania, there is a milder form called hypomania which is typically shorter lasting and more manageable." Prior to today I have had hypomania experiences.
I Had to call my Parents at 2:23AM because I was too scared to walk down the windy stairs. after feeling like I was getting trapped in the walls. so once I was taken to their room, it started to spin and the room started to 'breath'. I let my mom go back to sleep and my dad and I, got tea. I was so hyper focused on my hallucinations, which included perceptions that my Arms were bruised and painful, and with my feet wobbly, we went to my room to draw on the chalkboard. I also thought I saw animals outside- I heard strange noises from outside. I was seeing things that weren't there, I got paranoid. and It felt really real, but my dad talked to me saying that it was all Mania hallucinations.
Till next update- You Are Not Alone.
